Holden Droege

Holden is a senior BFA Contemporary Dance major at the University of South Florida. He began his dance journey at seven years old, later training at The Ailey School in New York City from ages nine to sixteen, where he developed a foundation rooted in ballet, modern, and contemporary techniques. His time at Ailey shaped his commitment to disciplined training, artistic rigor, and expressive storytelling through the body. At USF, he has continued to expand his artistic voice through performance, choreography, and interdisciplinary collaboration, while developing a strong interest in dance-theater and emotionally driven work. His experiences in both conservatory and university environments have shaped a movement language grounded in narrative honesty, physical intensity, and human vulnerability. He is passionate about using dance as a medium for connection, reflection, and shared experience, and hopes to continue his career in contemporary dance following graduation.
