Cecilia Jensen
Growing up in Cary, North Carolina, Cecilia Jensen began her dance training at Cary Ballet Conservatory under Mariaelena Ruiz and Heather Iler. She performed lead roles in classical repertoire with Cary Ballet Company, including the Sugarplum Fairy in The Nutcracker, Odette in Swan Lake, and Aurora in The Sleeping Beauty.
Cecilia continued her training at the University of South Florida, where she earned her BFA in Dance Performance in spring 2026. Her studies encompassed ballet, contemporary movement, and choreography, providing her with a diverse artistic foundation. During her time at USF, she performed in numerous original works by renowned choreographers including Roderick George, Jennifer Archibald, and Andrew Carroll.
Alongside her performance career, Cecilia has developed her own choreographic work, exploring a movement language that blends the precision of classical ballet with the expressive qualities of contemporary dance.
Cecilia joins Tampa City Ballet for the 2026–2027 season.
