An intimate evening featuring selected excerpts from La Séptima, followed by thoughtful conversation exploring the people, cultures, and industries that shaped Tampa. Through performance, lecture-demonstrations, and dialogue, this event examines the generations of individuals and communities who came to Tampa and helped define the city we know today.
Presented as part of the America 250 commemoration, this special event offers a unique opportunity to experience how dance, history, and civic dialogue come together to deepen our understanding of Tampa's past and enduring legacy.

Tampa’s story lives far beyond history books. La Séptima is an emotionally powerful theatrical experience that brings the heartbeat of our city to the stage through dance, live music, film, and immersive storytelling.
Inspired by the families, cigar workers, dreamers, and communities that built Tampa, this production explores resilience, identity, sacrifice, and the spirit that continues to shape our city today. More than a performance, La Séptima is a tribute to where Tampa came from, and the people whose stories still echo through it.
