JULIANNA LAROSE


 

Born in Tampa, Florida, Julianna began her classical training at the age of three at the New Tampa Dance Theatre, under the direction of Dyane Elkins IronWing. She studied there for six years focusing on multiple genres of dance. Ballet instruction by Nanako Yamamoto and Don Tolj, tap instruction by tap master Troy IronWing, modern training as instructed by Erica Lessner and Jennifer Petuch, jazz repertoire from Dyane Elkins IronWing, and hip-hop style from Dreama Davidson.

In 2013, she decided to dedicate her training and narrow her focus to classical ballet at the America’s Ballet School under the direction of Artistic Director Paula Nuñez, ballet master Osmany Montano, Luana Hildalgo, and Barbara Valles. Julianna has also continued to perfect her modern training under the supervision of Elsa Valbuena, Jeanne Travers, Sarah Walston, Jennifer Petuch, and Lily McCrossin.

She has attended summer intensives at America’s Ballet School and New Tampa Dance Theatre every year since the age of three. Julianna’s repertoire includes numerous classical ballet productions: The Sleeping Beauty, Don Quixote, Cinderella, Coppelia, Alice in Wonderland, Dans le Jardin, and The Nutcracker. She has also performed in contemporary choreography productions such as Frida, 102 Degrees, The Untold, Winter’s Wrath-A Nutcracker Fantasy, 7Th Avenue and Ybor, If I Cry, Outflow, and It’s Happening Anyway.

Julianna has danced in multiple Outreach Performances, sharing her love of dance with the community. Julianna looks forward to continuing her passion and opportunity for classical training as a Tampa City Ballet Trainee.
