Matthew Doolin was born and raised in Jacksonville, FL. After twelve years of dancing professionally he has returned to Florida to begin his new life in St Petersburg. Matthew has danced for the Orlando Ballet, Butler Ballet, Post:Ballet, and Amy Siewert’s Imagery among many others. As a freelance artist he has traveled to perform and teach in Beijing, Montreal, New York, San Francisco, and Juneau. He was the interim Ballet Master with Juneau Dance Theatre. Matthew has danced the works of such choreographers as Nacho Duato, Robert Dekkers, and Sandrine Cassini. He holds a Bachelors of the Arts in Dance Pedagogy from Butler University and a Masters certificate in Neuromuscular Massage Therapy from the National Holistic Institute in San Francisco. Matthew is a practicing medical massage therapist focusing in injury rehabilitation and pain management through Active Isolated Stretching and Strengthening. He and his dog Rudy couldn’t be more excited to share in with the community of Tampa City Ballet.
