OUR DANCERS
Rosabel Garcia
Rosabel Garcia, a native of Cuba, began her dance journey at the age of 2 in La Habana. Upon immigrating to the United States, she continued to pursue her passion for dance training in multiple styles, including ballet, modern, jazz, ballroom, hip-hop, and musical theatre, among others. This diverse training has allowed her to become a versatile dancer, skilled in both concert and commercial dance.
During her high school years in Miami Arts Charter School, she was selected to perform works with prestigious dance companies, such as Cuban Classical Ballet and Dance NOW! Miami, and choreographers, including Richard Villaverde, Duncan Cooper, Rosero McCoy, and Jacoby Pruitt. She also received a full scholarship to the Ruth Page International Dance Experience Summer Intensive in Chicago, where she trained under Ramona De Saa, Ido Tadmor, and Victor Alexander.
Rosabel graduated from the University of South Florida with a BFA in Dance and a Dance Medicine and Science Certificate. She had the privilege to work with guest choreographers Kate Weare, James Morrow, and Kelly King, as well as performing in faculty works. She also had the opportunity to attend the USF Dance Paris Abroad Program in the Summer of 2024. Rosabel joined the Tampa City Ballet in August 2025.
